CONDITIONS FOR IMMIGRANTS TO RENEW THE DRIVING LICENSE
Immigrants who have been living, working and studying at Vietnam for more than 3 years.
Immigrants who have already had a international driving license or a driving license issued by the home country.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR DRIVING LICENSE RENEWAL
- An application for driving license renewal (following the prescribed form) confirmed the head of agencies managing foreigners in Vietnam (Embassy, Consulate, representative offices of international organizations in Vietnam or the State Department, Director of joint ventures, Director of 100-percent foreign-owned company, the head of agencies where the immigrant is working or studying.
- A copy of the driving license issued by the home country.
- A translated version of the driving license which is insured of translation quality by the state notarizing agency or Embassy, Consulate, agencies which represent international organizations in Vietnam where the immigrant is working or studying. The translated version and the copy of the driving license must be affixed with an overlapping stamp.
- A copy of the immigrant's passport or a copy of the immigrant's identity card issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam. Those who are from the Diplomatic missions, representative agencies of international organizations in Vietnam and are incentivized with exception must have a letter of recommendatdidnhjbassed on the prescribed form of The Protocol Department - Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- 3 3x4 photos.
When subbmiting documents for driving license renewal, the immigrant must present his/her driving license issued by the home country his/her passport in order to be compared with the copy ones.

The fee charge for the service is 2.000.000VNĐ
TIME FOR APPROVAL
The time for approval is 5 working days.
